Little ones love to make things for holidays and Halloween is one of those fun holidays to make things. One of the things you can make with your little ones is Halloween t-shirts. In this guide, I am going to explain how easy it is to make these DIY Halloween t-shirts.
What You Will Need for the DIY Halloween T-Shirts
• T-Shirts (Black shirts, orange shirts, white shirts, etc.)
• Fabric Paint (Different Colors would be great)
• Plastic Halloween Stencils or Halloween Stamp Pads
• Paint Brush or Paint Sponge
• Wax Paper or Cardboard
• Plastic Tray or Something to Put Your Paint In
What You Need to Do
Now that you have everything that you need, we can get started. The first thing you will want to do is lay your shirts out on a flat surface. You will also want to put a piece of wax paper inside of the t-shirts or a piece of cardboard. This is so the paint won’t bleed through to the other side of the shirt.
Now you will need to lay a stencil on the shirts if you are using stencils. If you aren’t using stencils, you can skip on down. If you want to ensure that the stencil stays in place on the shirt, you can tape the stencil to the shirt. Then you will need to pour your paint in the tray or whatever you are going to use. Once you have the paint in your tray, you will need to grab your paint brush or paint sponge. Get some paint on the tool you are using and then paint the shirt.
If you are using stamps to make the Halloween t-shirts, you can place the stamp in the paint and start stamping the shirt to add your designs. When you are finished with the shirts, you will need to allow them to sit for a while to dry.
Another thing you can do is allow the kids to do hand prints on the t-shirts in Halloween colors. Then you could do like Halloween 2012 or Happy Halloween. Just remember to have fun with it.
