We will begin with creating text. To create text, all you have to do is place your mouse in the cell that you want to create the text in. Then type what you want in that cell. If the text is larger than the cell, you can adjust the size of the cell. Place your mouse at the top of the column. It should be placed where the two columns are. Your mouse should turn into a crosshairs. Click the mouse and drag the cell over to make the cell larger.
How to Change Your Look of Your Text in Google Docs Spreadsheets
Now we will move on to changing the look of your text. At the top of your spreadsheet, you will see the different icons for changing your text. You will see the text size, color, styles, and font family. These are the tools you will need to use in order to change the look of your text. To change the text you have already typed, you will need to highlight the text or click the cell to select it. Then you can use the tools at the top of the sheet to make your changes. For example, if you want to change the size of your text, drop the text size box down and select the size you want. Then you can change the other things like font family and color.
How to Change the Alignment of Your Text in Google Docs Spreadsheets
You can also align your text in your cells. If you need to align your text, click the cell of the text that you want to align. Then click the alignment icon at the top of your sheet. When you click that icon, you will see your choices for aligning the text. Select the alignment you want by clicking it. If you do not know what an alignment icon looks like, place your mouse over the icons and you will see the names of them. It will say “Align” and it will have an arrow beside it.
How to Delete Text in Your Google Docs Spreadsheets
If you have unwanted text in your cells, you can quickly delete them. All you have to do is click the cell with the text that you want to delete. Then press the Delete key on your keyboard. All text in that cell will be deleted.
